1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the "We The Greeks" platform (the app and we-the-greeks.world — "the Platform"), you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. The Platform is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY] ("we").

2. What the Platform is

A participatory-democracy space: submitting ideas and proposals, structured deliberation, votes and events, organised in communities (Pnyxes) that correspond to places — from the municipal community up to the country and the diaspora. The Platform's votes express the will of the participants; they are not official state elections and produce no legal effects, unless explicitly stated otherwise for a specific process.

3. Account

• One account per natural person. Multiple accounts, impersonation and automated accounts (bots) are prohibited.
• You declare truthful profile details and places with which you have a real connection (origin, residence, voting rights, interest).
• You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials.
• Minimum age: 18.

4. Your content

You retain the rights to the content you publish. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host it, distribute it within the Platform and retain it for the purposes of the service. You remain solely responsible for what you publish.

5. Code of conduct

The Platform is a space for democratic dialogue. We participate with arguments and respect for the opposing view. Publishing the following is prohibited:

1. Illegal content of any kind.
2. Hate speech — content inciting or legitimising hatred or discrimination based on ethnicity, origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other characteristics.
3. Incitement to or threats of violence.
4. Harassment, intimidation or targeting of individuals; disclosure of third parties' personal data without consent.
5. Unsolicited/misleading content (spam, mass posting, fake identities).
6. Content infringing third-party intellectual property.

Any attempt to manipulate the processes is also prohibited: multiple accounts, coordinated artificial "support", automated activity, attempts to breach the voting systems.

6. Moderation

The public Moderation Rules apply and form part of these terms. In short: every user can report content and personally block other users; moderators can hide content that violates the terms and, for serious or repeated violations, restrict or deactivate accounts. Every moderation action is logged. Participation in votes is never removed through content moderation.

7. Voting integrity

Votes requiring stronger guarantees run on Belenios (end-to-end verifiable encryption). Ballot secrecy is fundamental: the Platform records only your participation, never your choice.

8. Availability and liability

The Platform is provided "as is", with no guarantee of uninterrupted operation. We are not liable for user content; we are liable only for intent and gross negligence, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates the terms, with notice where feasible.

10. Governing law

Greek law; the courts of [CITY — e.g. Athens] have jurisdiction.

11. Changes

Material changes to the terms are announced in the app before they take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
